Indie Disco duo Neil Frances collaborate with Benny Sings on their new single “Where I Become Someone”

The LA-based duo Neil Frances, consisting of Jordan Feller and Marc Gilfry, tap Dutch pop singer-songwriter Benny Sings for their hazy nu-disco single, “Where I Become Someone.” The track is the latest to be released off their upcoming debut album, “There Is No Neil Frances”, which will be released on January 28, 2022.

Marc Gilfry explains, “This song is about becoming. It’s about the feeling of being in a transitional state, eyes on the sky, ready to ascend to the great disco ball in outer space.” Jordan Feller adds, “We had the idea of working with Benny Sings, and this track felt right for him. I love the blend and mix of Marc’s vocals with Benny’s vocals, and they complement each other nicely.”

The upcoming album, “There Is No Neil Frances”, which was recorded by the duo in their Echo Park studio over the past year, aims for the stars. The band explains, “Our new album is about self-realization and becoming the person that you dream of. The concept is that we are insects on earth who ascend into outer space to become divas at a galactic ball.”

Neil Frances’ 2018 debut EP, “Took A While”, with its blend of psychedelic rhythms, vibe-y, infectious grooves, and raw, funky spirit put them firmly on the map and propelled them to tour slots with Jungle and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Their 2021 EP, “Stay Strong Play Long”, featured collaborations with Poolside and Raffaella and included their cover of “Music Sounds Better With You,” which has amassed over 60 million streams.

Putting special emphasis on their enthralling live sets and preferring to perform with a multi-piece band, the group has developed a reputation as a must-see stage artist. Following a sold-out show with SG Lewis at The Shrine and a set at Outside Lands this fall, the band will return to the stage in 2022 for a headline U.S. tour.
