With their latest single “Rolling Back”, Young Gun Silver Fox land a smooth strike

These two guys know exactly what to do to inspire their ever-growing fan base: Young Gun Silver Fox give us another superb single ahead of the release of their new album “Ticket To Shangri-La”. “Rolling Back” shows Shawn Lee and Andy Platts at the top of their game, crossing cogenial influences of 80s pop nobility like Prefab Sprout with the sophistacted ease of West Coast heroes like Pages and giving it all an irresistible beat. This song should catapult them up the charts worldwide.

“Rolling Back” is the third single from “Ticket To Shangri-La,” Young Gun Silver Fox’s fourth album out October 21, 2022, following “Winners” and “West Side Jet.”

“I tried fusing Tears For Fears or Prefab Sprout with an ’80s soul thing, which was an interesting experiment,” says Andy Platts about the song. “I recorded a demo and then Shawn replaced the drums as he’s a master drummer. Shawn also embellished the rest and added his two cents. It always takes everything to another level, he really knows how to make a record.”

“Rolling Back” is accompanied by a funny video inspired by Big Lebowski’s Bowling dream sequence, classic jump ‘n’ run and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The video was directed by George Moore.

In 2015, British singer, songwriter, producer, founder and bandleader of Mamas Gun, Andy Platts, and London-based American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and arranger, Shawn Lee, combined their talents to express their love for melodic Californian soft rock and their penchant for catchy hooks and infectious grooves in a joint project – the beginning of Young Gun Silver Fox. Seven years later, the duo has become one of the biggest phenomena of the West Coast music genre.
