In Well’s music, which she describes as “Psychedelic Soul”, the 26-year-old processes influences from Neo Soul, HipHop, R&B, Reggae and Dub. She focuses on a warm, playful lo-fi sound and personal, often spiritual themes.
The artist was born in London; she then moved with her family to Hastings in the South of England, where she started making music as a child. Her favourite musicians are among others Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Miss Dynamite and Lily Allen – influences that you can definitely hear in her music. Her first EP “Sensi” was released in 2018. Greentea Peng is currently working on her debut album, which will be released in 2021.
