For over five decades, American singer-songwriter and musician Allan Thomas has woven his melodies through the tapestry of musical genres, bearing witness to the evolving history of American music. Now, the native New Yorker, who has called the Hawaiian island of Kauai home for more than three decades, releases his latest single: “Mojo,” a soul-touching song that embarks listeners on a spiritual musical journey.

Featuring the soulful vocals of Allan Thomas himself, “Mojo” is a collaborative effort that showcases the talents of Bryan Kessler on guitars, Michael Ruff on keyboards, Jimmy Johnson on bass, Keith Carlock on drums, and Amanda Frazier lending her backing vocals. Produced, recorded, and mixed entirely by Allan Thomas, the single was born amidst the lush landscapes of Kauai, echoing the natural beauty and spiritual resonance of the island.

When asked about the inspiration behind “Mojo,” Allan Thomas shares, “With ‘Mojo’ I was trying to tackle and explore that ineffable something that fulfills one whatever it may be and whatever you may call it. It makes you feel whole, like you’re on the right track, like you stumbled upon the answer or a holy grail. It could take the shape of many things, but you know it when you experience it. Many people spend their lives in search of it sometimes briefly touching upon it, other times never finding it at all. May we all find our mojo.”

Recorded at the renowned Black Bamboo Studios and Treble In Paradise Studios on Kauai, “Mojo” embodies the essence of Allan Thomas’s musical journey, fusing elements rock, soulful singer-songwriter pop and spirituality into a captivating sonic tapestry.

“Mojo” stands as a testament to Allan Thomas’s ability to capture the essence of the human experience through music, inviting listeners on a profound journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening.
