American singer-songwriter Pearl Charles has released her latest single, “Does This Song Sound Familiar?”, a vibrant track infused with desert mysticism and psychedelic undertones. The single follows her recent release “Smoke In The Limousine,” and continues to showcase Charles’s ability to blend genres with her distinct style.

Born from a peyote-induced creative vision in the heart of the Mojave Desert, Charles describes the song as a reflection on the cyclical nature of life, identity, and reincarnation. “On a hot summer night, sitting alone as the sun went down in its usual spectacular desert fashion, ‘Does This Song Sound Familiar?’ was born on a gust of Santa Ana wind,” Charles explains. “The music and lyrics floated in like peyote-induced psilocybin dream encounters with the deeper levels of my own psyche.”

The single’s release comes just ahead of Charles’s performance at The Long Road Festival on August 24th, where she will share her captivating sound with UK audiences. The track also precedes her October headline tour across the UK, culminating in her biggest show to date at London’s Omeara on October 10th.

Charles has garnered significant attention for her genre-blending approach, which draws from 60s garage rock, 70s country, and soft rock, combined with catchy pop hooks. Her 2021 album Magic Mirror received widespread acclaim.

Pearl Charles’s upcoming UK tour marks a significant milestone in her career as she continues to captivate audiences with her unique sound and introspective songwriting. As her music evolves, it remains deeply rooted in the eclectic influences that have shaped her journey, making her one of the most exciting emerging artists in the American music scene.
